Are you really ready for the online game compared to B&M?

If you think you are ready, I would say most of you may not be.

There is a difference in playing poker online than there is in a B&M and I don't mean the obvious of speed and limited reads, I'm talking about the mindset of switching from B&M to Online.

When your on your way to the casino to play poker you are consciously readying yourself for the game, you know what level your going to play, you know how long your going to be there and you know how much $ you are going to take with you.

Once there you are within the atmosphere of a casino/poker room you feel comfortable with your surroundings.

You are now ready to play a good game of poker free from distractions and able to put your full concentration at the table.

Unlike the above scenario, in an online game all it takes is a couple clicks of the mouse and your in your favorite poker room, but are you ready to play a good game? free of distractions?, no your not and if you think you are, most of you are sorrily mistaken.

First off you are not in a casino/poker room atmosphere, you are at home, school, Internet cafe or work(worst possible place to be IMO when playing poker online).

There are just too many distractions which will take up a good portion of your concentration from the game at hand and this will effect your play considerably.

You have to free yourself from any distractions that may affect the way you play, this means having the poker site the only thing you have open on your screen (if you do get bored, feel free to surf the net or read posts/blogs but be sure to not put much thought in writing any replies as this will take alot of your concentration off the game at hand), you have to tell those around you that you cannot be disturbed now, and create the expectation that you are not to be frivolously disturbed. Impress upon them that the money online is every bit as real as the money you'd put put into a live game. Make it clear that this in not play and it is not a game but a serious attempt, seriously constructed, to suck money from the Internet.

Now make it clear to yourself.

In short, you have to fully immerse into the cyber-poker table and free yourself from as many distractions as you can.

Carefully chose your table and time and money you want to spend on the table and do not make your session too short (hit and run) or too long (marathon).

Hope you enjoyed this post.

Much love for CC, peace.
