Hey all, How is everyone doing today?, good I hope.
For almost a full year already I have been out of full time employment, I work the occasional casual job which is working as a P.A.(production assistant) for various movies being filmed around the city and wish it was more permanent.
My job is really simple, I make sure that no vehicles are parked in designated parking areas, the only thing is that I could be at the spot up to 14hrs before the trucks show up but do get paid $221 per 14hr shift and sometimes work 4-5 days in a 7 day period.
All I can hope for is that there are more movies being filmed in the city.
As for my poker play, I have been doing nothing but min-cashing in tournaments and it gets frustrating not being able to make a final table, we all go through it most of the time, you know how it is, sit and play a nice solid game just to get knocked out after 4 or more hours of play just to make up to double our buy-in.
I have looked over strategy articles at cardschat and still can't get deep enough because it seems most of the time I'm in a game and make it down to under 100 participants, I always seem to run into a maniac who dwindles me down to the push/fold mode and has the nerve to call an all-in with any 2 suited/connected/pp or Ax and it usually ends bad for me.
I try to make a decent stack by playing somewhat loose in the early stages when the blinds are somewhat insignificant and I can feel comfortable making raises with rags in position.
I will try to update my blog more often, but you all have heard this from me before so I will update when the mood strikes me.
Hope your cards are all monsters and they hold up.....peace.
